On this last day of  Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month, this post  is on a rising preventable public health problem that affects  million of women worldwide. Intimate Partner Violence ( IPV) which occur across the lifespan ,however pregnancy (planned or unplanned) has been linked to adverse maternal and neonatal outcomes (i.e. increased risk of spontaneous abortion, fetal loss, preterm birth (PTB), low birthweight (LBW) small for gestational age (SGA) , and maternal/neonatal death.
